Francisco Miranda Duarte Founder and Managing Director Over 20 years’ work experience in the healthcare industry, with the executive responsibility for the set up and global management of large scale businesses, for the design and implementation of transformational projects in complex organizations with sizeable EBITDA impact, and also for the negotiation of large ventures. Focus in the leadership of large teams in distinct business contexts (both public and private sector); large experience in consulting / advisory projects in payer and provider organizations in healthcare, with focus on restructuring businesses and developing new businesses and new offerings to the marketplace. Responsibility for the development of businesses and innovation projects within healthcare platforms of large private groups, namely the development of PPP businesses in healthcare or a new to the world enterprise business assurance project in healthcare with major recurring EBITDA impact. Experience as an executive member of the board of many companies in the healthcare industry and in other industries. Investment banking experience before entering healthcare industry. International experience with the development of a partnership for healthcare in Brazil, involving Portuguese and Brazilian investors and World Bank. Head of many change management and performance improvement projects in hospitals and hospital groups with important impact in quality of service and economic results. |

Sofia Sousa Uva Consultant Over 16 years’ work experience in healthcare, both public and private sector, in medium and large size business units. Experience and skills range from operations to strategic planning or the commercial side / relationship with payers. Responsibility for the management of a healthcare PPP contract and for the implementation of a complex performance monitoring system and the design of the outputs of the system both for managing the PPP contract and the hospital operations. Coordination and participation in organizational architecture projects, change management and performance improvement with clear operational impacts both in clinical outcomes and in customer service and satisfaction. Responsibility for the management of a business unit of a private group for work accidents, with the scope of management of claims from different insurance companies and management at a national level of the full provider network for work accidents. Experience in negotiation processes and in the development of business opportunities both in care provision and in health insurance. |
